In such a tight race, I do not understand why Mendoza put Mullins in center field. He is a lousy center fielder, he can’t throw the ball with the requisite distance that he needs to be able to for a center fielder and he can’t hit. Please explain this decision.

Yes, I am replying to my own post. Also since Baty is out, why not put Taylor in center. Mauricio does a good job at third base but he is not hitting as well as Baty. We could use Taylor’s bat!!! Questions!

I’e never posted before today. Long time Mets fan. Mendoza has been frustrating to watch managing this team. Questionable calls in managing offense and defense. He has done a poor job managing pitching and the bullpen also. He seems to always wait too long to replace a pitcher. Can he not see when pitchers are struggling. I know the pitching has struggled but his management seems to have contributed to wearing starting pitching down and his choices for who to play in the bullpen have been questionable. No mas.
