With Adames off the market, are the Red Sox all-in on Soto or are there other moves brewing?
The Giants locking up Adames for seven years at $182 million raises some eyebrows. Is this an overpay? Will his power numbers translate to Oracle Park? It seems like his bat would have played well at Fenway.
The Red Sox were reportedly interested in both Adames AND Bieber, and now both are gone. Does this signal a full-court press for Soto? Or does Bloom have a surprise up his sleeve? What other right-handed bats could the Red Sox realistically target now?
