Is Jacob Melton the real deal or just another hyped Astros prospect? His tools look impressive, but can he translate that to big league success? I'm skeptical about him being the centerpiece of the future, especially considering some of the other names further down in the system.
The projected 2028 lineup is interesting. Altuve at 38? Bold move. And while I love Yordan, can he maintain DH-only status for that long? Where do some of these highly touted younger guys even fit in if that's the projected lineup five years out? Seems like a logjam brewing.
Also, I’m curious about the lack of pitching depth beyond Brown and Arrighetti. Is the Astros system really that thin on arms, or are there some sleeper prospects we should be watching? Miguel Ullola is listed with the best fastball AND slider? Rarely see that combo. Is he the next big thing or just another toolsy pitcher who can’t put it all together? Let’s hear your thoughts.
