Draft Advice: Tips on player picks and team-building.
#7849
As we gear up for the 2025 Fantasy Baseball season, there are some intriguing players on the radar that could shake up your draft strategy. Let's dive into a few names that have caught my attention and spark a discussion around their potential impact this year.

First up, Ivan Herrera of the Cardinals. With an ADP around 283, he’s not exactly a household name, but his performance last season was impressive for a 24-year-old catcher. If he can secure more than 500 plate appearances, could we see him hit 12-15 homers and steal 6-8 bases? What are your thoughts on his potential to break into the top tier of catchers, or is he just another flash in the pan?

Then there's Jonathan Aranda from the Rays, who is expected to see regular playing time as a DH. His minor league stats are eye-popping, and if he can translate that success to the majors, we might be looking at a 25-homer season. With an ADP outside the top 300, is he the ultimate late-round steal, or are we overhyping his minor league success?

On the flip side, Gleyber Torres has moved to the Tigers, but his power numbers have been on the decline. With a new home park that isn’t exactly a hitter's paradise, is it time to fade Torres in drafts, or could he surprise us with a bounce-back season?

Masyn Winn is another name to watch. With a current ADP of 176, he’s got the speed to potentially swipe 30 bags. But can he maintain a decent batting average while also providing power? What do you think his ceiling is this season?

And let’s not forget about Ceddanne Rafaela, who is settling into a full-time role in center field. His power-speed combo is tantalizing, but with a concerning walk rate and contact issues, is he worth the risk as a late-round pick?

Lastly, what are your thoughts on the pitching landscape? David Festa and Ian Anderson are both looking to secure spots in their respective rotations. With Festa’s intriguing strikeout potential and Anderson’s pedigree, which of these pitchers do you think has the better chance to break out this season?

Let’s hear your takes! Who are you targeting in your drafts, and who are you avoiding? What bold predictions do you have for these players?
