It's tough to say right now, before a single regular season game has been played. On paper, both teams are stacked, but they have different strengths. Maybe the rankings are factoring in the Phillies' strong playoff run last year or some perceived edge in their starting pitching depth right now. Honestly, I think it's going to be a tight race between the two all season long, and those head-to-head matchups will be the real deciders.

That opening series against the Padres is absolutely crucial for setting the tone.
